What's the difference between Recheck Verification and Recheck Certification?

Edited

Recheck Verification is the identity confirmation process every rep goes through to get a Recheck ID. You verify your identity with a government-issued ID and a selfie, and Recheck assigns you a permanent ID number and profile. It's free, takes about 90 seconds, and your Recheck ID follows you across every employer and platform you work with. Most major solar financing companies require Recheck Verification and embed the 'Verify with Recheck' requirement in their platforms.

Recheck Certification is a professional credential you earn on top of your Recheck ID. To become Certified, you must:

  • Sign and uphold the Recheck Certified code of conduct

  • Complete the Recheck Certified ethical sales training course

  • Pass a criminal background check tailored to in-home solar sales

Certified costs $199/year. Like your Recheck ID, your Certified status is tied to you - not your employer - and stays on your profile if you change companies.

Once Certified, your profile is updated with a Certified badge, and you get access to a printable leave-behind you can share with homeowners. Your Certified status is also visible to any installer or financing company on the Recheck platform.

The short version: Verification confirms who you are. Certified proves you've been vetted, trained, and are held to a high professional standard on an ongoing basis.
